Bio
Lotta Alvin (born April, 1990) is a Swedish composer of contemporary classical music, violinist, arranger and producer.
She is a founding member of the chamber ensemble Kvinnoorkestern (The Women’s Orchestra), which was formed in 2018.
In 2026, Lotta Alvin received a fellowship from the Veronica Öhman’s Scholarship Foundation, a foundation whose purpose is to encourage young women educated in music and culture. Recipients should combine tradition with a thirst for discovery, and broadmindedness with quality and knowledge.
Her music has been performed by ensembles including Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, Jönköping Sinfonietta, St Petri Youth Choir (SPUK), Carolinae Röster, Vindla String Quartet and musicians from the Malmö Opera Orchestra.
